Edoko Japanese Restaurant in Berkeley California is a family owned and operated sushi buffet restaurant. Chef James Lin has been in the restaurant business for 28 years and opened Edoko in 2003 to fill a need in the San Francisco East Bay. James, together with his wife Jenny, have created a family friendly environment serving fresh sushi, sashimi and salads at a very reasonable cost.

The fresh sushi and sashimi are always the center of attraction at Edoko, but the salad bar also receives lots of positive comments from customers every week. Most of the comments are about the handcrafted dressings that James creates on premises. In fact, James has had so many requests for his dressings that he has finally decided to make them available to customers and non-customers alike.
James bases his dressings on traditional Japanese recipes and has added his own contemporary touches to enhance the natural flavors.
Not a week has gone by without our customers commenting on the fantastic taste of our dressings and asking if they can buy some to take home. Well, finally they can!
